Blackcurrant with ‘Greens’

This super food smoothie is a great source of magnesium, with 20 per cent of the NRV of this mineral that helps keep our nervous system healthy. It’s also a top source of fibre with 40 per cent of the daily requirement per serving.

Ingredients: 
  • 1 avocado, chopped
  • 1 green apple, cored and chopped
  • 100g kale, lightly steamed
  • 450ml coconut water
  • 2 tbsp wheatgrass (or milled flaxseed)
  • 2 tbsp runny honey
  • a few ice cubes
Method: 
  1. Place the blackcurrants, avocado, apple and kale in a blender with the coconut water & honey.
  2. Whizz until smooth and serve in glasses.
  3. Serve with a slice of apple and a dusting of wheatgrass if you so wish
